Debunking Myth of Older Adult falls


Many people think that falls are a normal part of aging.  The truth is they are not.  Most falls can be prevented and seniors can reduce risks by exercising, managing medications, having vision checked and making living environment safer.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention says one in three seniors takes a tumble each year causing moderate to severe injury.
The Nation Council of Aging (NCOA) hammers home the message that most falls are preventable by spelling out myths about falls.
